Gah

Okay, cute cats. That first before I go into the worse stuff.

I just got the notification that my lazette.net domain name has expired. This means not only my site, but Vision is going to disappear unless we can do something very quickly. I hope that Russ can find someone with a credit card tomorrow and get it taken care of.

People are asking about their money from the last few Vision issues, too.

I hate this point in life. I've been here before, and I know we can get past it, but the moment is always bad. We have money that should be coming in, but it's going to be too little -- and obviously too late. We are waiting to hear on one job, but now they're saying it could be a couple more weeks before they make a decision.

My stress levels have been way high. I need to take a nice calm, quiet break.

I have only about 50 pages left to do on 2YN. If I can get it to Holly and she can get it up, I might make a little money and help out here.

Gah. Just Gah. I'm going to bed, I think. Posted by Picasa

You're not sure Edmond will grow into his ears? Wait until their legs grow! Ajax is 4 months old, and he's at the "all legs" stage. He's so funny to watch. (I got to meet him for the first time while I was home -- before Saturday night, I'd only seen pictures and heard him purr.)

It's funny, but they're already larger at two months than either of us expected. And fun.

At least Zaphod didn't end up in the bathtub with me today, so I think we're making progress.

How much do you pay for a domain?

I pay 18 € a year for my spiffy, brandnew Europa domain (have to take my website by the neck and carry it over there one of these days). And the standard package with my provider already includes a .de domain (I pay 30€ a month for wireless DSL, internet flatrate, domain, phone flatrate, plus small extras like several email addresses).

If I wanted an entire server of my own, I could get one for 30 bucks a month.

Gotta love 1&1 Germany. And gotta love free competition (though the German Telecom loves that not very much). *grin*
