A nice world; rolling hills clothed in purple, but that would soon be changed. Phoenix Terraforming had spent five years working out the plan that would change the world from alien to human-viable.
This wasn't a difficult job. Drop a few of the huge, building-sized bots into place and in another ten years the world would be habitable. Almost earth-perfect, in fact, waiting only for a few fledgling forests to sprout, a few oceans so submerge part of the landscape.
Seven years into the project, the planet's owners came home. The case is still in the courts.
