7405 and very nearly done with the story!
Good thing, because i'm running out of energy!
I found the ending that will tie this story up. Not a great story, but very nearly done. And, with only 95 words to go to novelette, I suspect I shoudl stop calling it 'short' now.
We'll see how it goes from here.
